Being the first paper of the Law minor, this course introduces students to the history and background knowledge of the legislative processes, the making of legislation from a Bill to an Act, etc. The course also looks at the interplay of state action and public opinion, delegated legislation, administrative discretion and remedies.
Students in this course will be able to –
- Demonstrate an understanding of the basic working of legislative processes.
- Demonstrate an understanding of the principles of Administrative law.
The course is conducted mostly by the interaction based lecture method, with regular discussions on case laws, case studies, moot courts, etc.
Students are expected to –
- Complete all required reading for each scheduled class as per the course outline,
- Actively participate in class activities and discussions, and
Complete all evaluative processes for successful course completion!
