You and I

Posted by on in Poetry

You and I , hope and rage

I see destruction in our eyes

Can we re construct our lives

Accepting our fate

We have to use our rage and fuse it with grace

Feeding our souls, starving the hate

Do we  rewind or simply climb

forge ahead bearing in mind ,

The fact that we haven't been kind to them, or ourselves.

We have had one hell of a time in hell, let’s move out of here and make a pact. To heal ourselves, to be certain that once the curtain closes ,when we unfasten the seatbelts, we can thank our scars and the journeys in our cars.

Outcast, fallen from first to last

I have been corroded, eroded and built upon

Everything already makes my heart melt

I have to surrender or even run away, add faith to hope and rage.

Just a little push and we can seize the day.

You and I must dare to be wise.
