Barking, Running and Jumping

Posted by on in Poetry

I see a girl with an ice-cream
I see a woman passing down the street
I see the man who sits on the street
Asking for something to hold on
And I try to understand.

I see a boy with the banner
I see a dog barking, running, jumping
I see young guns smoking
And the girls, they flaunt carelessly
Looking for something to hold on
And I try to understand

 I try to understand nothing
And get nothing
As a brain trained by television
Actions, perceptions, pre-recorded
Just in the moment of release
Are they?

So I get inside, try to understand
And the apple went up
As Newton goes mad at me
I'm sorry, this is how I choose to be
